About the Recipe
I like to cook three or four chicken breasts in the instant pot, then use them for meals for several days. This teriyaki sauce works great with precooked shredded or diced chicken, for an easy meal. I most often serve it over rice and snow peas cooked in my rice maker.
Ingredients
1/4 cup water or pineapple juice
5 tbsp packed brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 - 2 tbsp honey
1 large clove garlic, finely minced
1/2 tsp ground ginger
Preparation
Step 1
Whisk all ingredients together in a measuring cup or bowl.
Step 2
If using in stir fry or in instant pot, let sit until ready to use. If using for dipping or coating chicken, cook over medium heat until thickened to desired consistency.
